Good couple of days at Affiliate Gathering in York. You pick up some real knowledge gems when surrounded by some of the UK's best SEOs.
Who I spent the days with
Liam Quirk is the founder and Managing Director of Quirky Digital, a Liverpool SEO agency, and a director at Tranmere Rovers Football Club. He started in SEO at 16 and built one of the most respected agencies in the North West.
Craig Campbell is one of the best known affiliate SEOs in the world, a Glasgow-based SEO of 20+ years. If you have read my SEO Underground and Affiliate Gathering write-ups you will have spotted him before: these rooms are where I keep crossing paths with him.
Christopher Kelly is a Durham-based SEO and founder of Digitle, with a background in architectural technology that shows in how he thinks about site structure.
Ryan Darani is an SEO consultant from Peterborough with 12+ years in the industry, who generated over $10 million in client revenue as an independent consultant before moving into building with AI.
Andreas Karle is a German SEO and link building specialist behind Honeybadger Digital, working across English and German markets.
Why it mattered
This was my first Affiliate Gathering, and the reason I went back the following year. The gap between published SEO advice and what actually works gets closed in rooms like this, in the talks and in the conversations around them.
